Varicocele Male infertility 3-D Precision Guided Endovascular Treatment

Introduction
What is Varicocele Male Infertility?
There are swollen veins in the Varicocele Male Infertility scrotum. The condition is like varicose veins in the legs. The veins carry blood to the heart without oxygen, so that they can exchange new oxygenated blood cells.
Varicocele Male Infertility can be on one side or either side of the testicle. The disease is called Varicocele Male Infertility, usually occurs on the left side. This condition can cause the testicles to expand.
What are the usual tests to detect Varicocele Male Infertility?
Prof Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed or his assistant will examine you. To confirm the diagnosis, your doctor will order an ultrasound to take a picture of the vein in the scrotum and rule out the cause of the swelling in the scrotum that is not caused by Varicocele Male Infertility.
Varicocele Male Infertility does not have symptoms that can be recognized immediately. Men rarely realize that they are suffering from this disease until a complete examination by a doctor.
Sometimes, a person may feel their scrotum enlarged but not painful, or feel that their testicles are heavier or feel hot. Testicles may shrink because of Varicocele Male Infertility pressure.
However, according to Prof Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed, if you notice any signs of varicose veins in your testicles, you may experience the following.
- A soft gland or lump suddenly appears in a testicle.
- The scrotum becomes swollen and painful when pressed.
- In tests, the line of blood vessels expands or twists.
- Prolonged pain or discomfort.
There may be signs and symptoms that are not mentioned above. If you are concerned about a particular symptom, consult your doctor.
Varicocele Male Infertility rarely causes serious symptoms that will force you to see a doctor. If you still feel pain, swelling in the scrotum, abnormal penis size, or if your baby has varicose veins, see a doctor right away.
If you experience the above symptoms, it is also possible that you do not suffer from Varicocele Male Infertility. You may also have more serious illnesses that may have the same symptoms.
If you have any of the above symptoms or other questions, consult your doctor immediately. Everyone has different symptoms. Protect your health and always consult a doctor for skin treatment.
The cause of varicose veins in tests is not known for sure. It was previously suspected that sometimes the vascular valves in the testicles did not work properly, or even disappeared. Therefore, blood flow slows down because it does not move easily.
If the blood flow slows down, the arteries may become clogged. However, these arteries carry the basic function of cells and tissues back to the heart. With Varicocele Male Infertility, the lump is usually on the left side because the veins on that side are often under more pressure on the right side.
If the blood flow to the testicles and scrotum does not work properly, blood clots and causes swelling. Therefore, the blood vessels in your testicles will become swollen.
Whether a man is fertile is primarily affected by the quality of the sperm produced by the testicles. When sexual arousal comes from men, blood flows from the heart to the penis produces an organ. The scrotum is produced in the body to produce semen.
Swelling in the veins because of varicose veins in the tests may not allow the vein valves to function as much as possible to return blood to the heart. Blood trapped in this nearby area will increase the temperature around the testicles and increase their length.
For the testicles to produce healthy, standard sperm clusters, the ambient temperature should not exceed 4 degrees above body temperature. Warm temperatures will affect the quality of semen. A one-degree increase in temperature will reduce sperm count by 40%.
Even an abnormal condition in the sperm (whether it is a deformed form, lack of sperm count, and motility or slow semen) increases the risk of infertility in humans.
That is why the testes are outside the male body, inside the cover of the scrotum: when in an inhospitable environment, below normal body temperature, the sperm will be its priority.
Then, will all men who have verrucas suffer from fertility problems? Not sure Male fertility depends on many factors. These include how long you have Varicocele Male Infertility, their intensity, and location (on one or both sides of the scrotum). Early diagnosis and treatment can also improve your chances of fertility. To be sure, consult a urologist or surgeon directly.
3-D Guided Endovascular Varicocele Embolization has NO side effects, unlike major surgery. No general anesthesia is given. Hardly recovery time is less than 24 hours. No “Open Surgery” lifelong medicines or injections to take rest of your lives.

FAQ’s
Varicocele
What is varicocele and how does it affect fertility?
A varicocele is an enlargement of the veins within the scrotum caused by weakened vein valves that allow blood to pool instead of flowing normally. This trapped blood increases heat around the testicles and disrupts healthy circulation.
These changes can affect fertility in several ways. Higher scrotal temperature can reduce sperm count, weaken sperm motility, and affect sperm shape. The impaired blood flow may also lower testosterone levels, which play an important role in sperm production and overall reproductive health. Over time, untreated varicoceles can lead to testicular shrinkage, hormonal imbalance, and difficulty achieving a natural pregnancy.
Early evaluation and treatment help protect sperm quality and improve long term fertility outcomes.
What symptoms indicate I might have a varicocele?
Common symptoms of a varicocele include a dull ache or heaviness in the scrotum, discomfort that worsens after standing for long periods, and visible or enlarged veins that resemble a soft mass. Some men notice swelling on one side or a slight difference in testicular size. In certain cases, symptoms may be mild but still affect sperm quality or hormone levels. If you experience persistent pain, visible vein enlargement, or any changes in testicular appearance, a clinical evaluation is recommended to confirm the diagnosis and prevent long term complications.
What is varicocele embolization?
Varicocele embolization is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat varicoceles by closing the enlarged veins that cause blood to pool around the testicles. A small tube called a catheter is inserted through a tiny puncture in the groin or neck, and the doctor uses imaging to guide it to the affected vein. Once the vein is reached, coils or a medical solution are placed inside to block the faulty vein and redirect blood through healthy veins.
This treatment does not require open surgery or general anesthesia, and most patients recover within 24 hours. Varicocele embolization helps reduce pain, normalize temperature around the testicles, and improve sperm quality, making it an effective option for men dealing with varicocele related infertility or discomfort.
Is varicocele treatment painful?
Most patients experience minimal pain during varicocele treatment. The level of discomfort depends on the method used.
Varicocele Embolization (Minimally Invasive)
- Very little pain during the procedure
- Done under local anesthesia and mild sedation
- A small pin‑prick feeling when the catheter is inserted
- Most patients return to normal activities within 24–48 hours
- Mild soreness in the groin for a day or two
Varicocele Surgery (Microsurgical Varicocelectomy)
- Requires general or spinal anesthesia, with longer recovery and more post-procedure discomfort
- Swelling, heaviness, and mild pain may last several days
- Activity restrictions may last 1–2 weeks
Because minimally invasive embolization offers faster recovery, less pain, and no large incision, it is often considered the preferred option for most men.
Can varicocele come back after treatment?
Varicoceles can rarely recur after treatment, but the risk depends on the method used.
Minimally invasive embolization has a very low recurrence rate because the faulty veins are blocked precisely, and healthy veins take over circulation. Most men experience long-term relief and improved sperm quality.
Surgical varicocelectomy can have a slightly higher chance of recurrence, especially if smaller veins are missed during the procedure.
Regular follow-up with your doctor and monitoring of symptoms or sperm health helps ensure early detection if a varicocele does return. Early treatment and minimally invasive approaches generally reduce the likelihood of recurrence and support better long-term outcomes.
